Want to play a game that opened new possibilities for how to use the MUGEN engine? Pokemon MUGEN Edition by Ryon and Alexei did exactly that. The game plays much differently than other MUGEN games. It plays a bit like role-playing games in which you have to give a command to your Pokemon and then wait for the energy bar to fill again, so that you can give your Pokemon another command. Be careful though, as different moves drain the energy bar differently. Your opponent may be able to attack you quickly if you always opt for the strongest moves.
